This is how it all started…

It all started with watching L’Équipe, imagining myself on the air, and feeling that spark of excitement when sharing my love for sports. That passion quickly evolved into a fascination with storytelling, the way a single moment can capture emotion, bring communities together, and inspire action. Every game, every interview, every story became an opportunity to understand not just what happened, but why it mattered.

At BCIT, I was challenged to push beyond my curiosity, to dig deeper, and to learn how to translate ideas and experiences into clear, engaging, and meaningful communication. Through hands-on projects, collaboration, and real-world storytelling, I honed the ability to capture energy, emotion, and perspective in ways that resonate with audiences.

Today, I use that blend of curiosity, creativity, and technical skill to help organizations tell stories that matter. Stories that connect with people, spark conversations, and leave a lasting impact. Whether it’s through video, written content, or multimedia storytelling, my goal is to bring moments to life in ways that inspire, inform, and engage. Because at the heart of every story is people, and connecting with them is what drives everything I do.

Hi there!  My name is Évia Boulay. I’m a BCIT Online and Broadcast Journalism graduate with a strong foundation in storytelling and a growing focus on strategic communications. Through my education and hands-on experience, I developed advanced research, writing, and interviewing skills, along with the ability to craft clear, purposeful messaging that connects with diverse audiences. I’m passionate about helping organizations strengthen their voice, build meaningful relationships, and engage their communities in authentic ways. With a lifelong connection to sports and community-driven initiatives, I’m especially drawn to communications roles within athletics, health, and impact-focused organizations where teamwork, energy, and purpose are central. As a certified spin instructor, I’ve also developed leadership, adaptability, and confidence under pressure, which shape how I collaborate and communicate in professional settings. As I begin this next chapter, I’m eager to contribute to organizations that value strategy, creativity, and connection, and to help tell stories that inform, inspire, and create lasting impact.
